School uniform for the disadvantaged children
Children from poor background are often not cared for in terms of how they cope in school particularly when it comes to basic necessities such as school uniform and that how that could impact negatively in their studies. Such children can suffer mental and psychological breakdown as they are not in par with other children. Therefore our organisation identified a need to bridge the gap in providing school uniform to the affected children to boost their confidence and self-worth. It is imperative to note such act of humanity can reduce to rate of dropout as children will have confidence to face another day in school. Being the community that cares, that is our mandate as we see that every child deserves better, and being better enables a child to be a better person. Therefore the provision of school uniform will be done annually or at any given time when the need arises.
Sanitary towels for the girl child
Our organisation has identified that it’s not easy for the girl child in rural areas, especially the disadvantaged children who often lack the resources in acquiring the sanitary towels. When it is time of the month where the girl child are on menstruation, they miss school for the duration of their menstruation cycle. Therefore we find ourselves obligated as the organisation to come to the rescue of such dilemma to make sure no girl child misses school because of that incident. The provision of sanitary towels, as the organisation aims to provision for them anytime when the need is there. Being the community that cares, we aim to bring humanity and confidence as we see children as leaders of tomorrow. It is our duty to bring the balance on every day struggle for a girl child in rural areas.
Food parcels for the disadvantaged community
As we are aware that our government has feeding schemes in our schools, our organisation saw it fit to take the initiative to the next level. As much as our government has feeding schemes at schools, the big question is “what happens when a child get to home and there is no food”? Do we expect such child to concentrate in doing home works? The answer is NO, therefore our organisation decided to provide food parcels as well to the needy to enable a children to get best at the end of each stick. We aim to remove the burden on children, let them concentrate on their studies in order for them to bettering their lives and be the leaders of tomorrow and taking our country forward.
